Appreciate the intricacies of Fiji tradition and design with these woven grass mats. These handwoven pond grass artworks are suitable for wall, floor, and table spaces. Kuta pond grass weaving is a renowned art form of the Pacific. Each blade of grass is harvested by hand from Fijis wetlands before being sun-dried and woven. These natural wetland areas are under threat from climate change, overgrazing, and uncontrolled burning. Through this purchase, you help to support not only our artisan partners, but the restoration and protection of these habitats. By providing a steady market to Kuta weavers, we aim to promote this Fijian artform and protect it from extinction.
