Gaya means ‘grace’ in Balinese, the title of this statuette befitting its feminine allure. It is an abstract and modern work, her pregnant form stylishly posed by the imagination of Wayan Rendah. Using handmade tools, the artisan extracts fluid details from the rich grain of suar wood.
