Tenango is one of Mexico’s most widely recognized embroidery styles, but few people know it is from a small town called Tenango de Doria, Hidalgo, an Otomi community. This zippered pillow cover (pillow not included) is a good example of traditional motifs in ruby red embroidery which focus on local plants and animals. It is made by Guadalupe Navarro.
