It may well be the outrageously colourful beetroots and carrots that you first noticed on this Carrots & Beets Medium Dinner Plate, 8.5 Inch. Did such perfect traditional spongeware bordering on this decorative ceramic plate lead your thoughts to how many supper dishes you could whip up using these summer root vegetables?

Its not just the roots that can be put to good use in recipes to then serve on our vegetable-patterned dinner plates: lets not ignore the froth of green leaves atop a bunch of carrots (perfect for turning into a pesto or used as a garnish) or the beetroots sweet and tender leaves (add to a stir fry or toss in a salad).
